The Street of Life - Camilo Rojas
My very words deny me, laugh from a distance as I struggle in vain to jot down some semblance of meaning. They taunt me with flowery memories of days when they and I would dance together across the pages of time and sing sweet song for all the world to hear. They call to me like a siren,…
TODAY IN THE CLASSROOM I…
…was reminded why I think I’d like being a teacher.
…played sight word bingo.
…talked about life and animals through the eyes of six year olds.
…ate sour Skittles and chomped fruity bubble gum.
…read books in the cozy corner.
…played some more.
…was reminded why I am majoring in sciences and Spanish and not elementary education.
…got lots and lots of loving {and a little sticky} bear hugs.and I loved every minute of it.
Kids are so innocent and refreshing, and their different outlooks on life inspire me. They have a natural way of bringing me to live in the moment and feel relaxed and worry-free {well, at times :) }. I am fortunate to have a mom who is so passionate about her job {Reading Specialist at our local elementary schools} and she’s wonderful at it. Observing my mom in her element doing what she’s best at is so special and exciting {and sometimes makes me giggle, because to me her job is mom, not Mrs. Teacher lady}. Lucky for me, she and her students love having visitors!
Ah, the little things that make my heart smile.
See you tomorrow!
This happened at my old high school. What really angers me is that if this had been a female wearing a short skirt, her parents would have been called to bring a change of clothes. I have never heard of a female being suspended for wearing her skirt too short, unless it happened a plethora of times. I’m extremely disappointed in you Calvert High.
